Terms of use
Last updated 2 October 2026
These terms apply when you use peak2002.com (the “Site”), including joining the waitlist. They are website terms, not conditions of sale. Peak2002 does not currently sell skis or take payment on this Site.
By using the Site you accept these terms. If you do not, please leave the Site.
1. Who we are
The Site is published by Peak2002, a Swiss alpine-ski project. Correspondence:
- Email: info@peak2002.com
- Phone: +41 77 231 68 14
We will add the registered company name, office address, and Swiss UID here once they are confirmed.
2. What this website is for
The Site describes Peak2002’s prototypes, materials, and the people behind the project. It lets you join a waitlist for launch news. Nothing on the Site is an offer to sell, a binding reservation, or a guarantee that a particular model, length, graphic, or price will be available.
We may change, add, or withdraw pages, models, or the waitlist without notice.
3. Waitlist
Joining the waitlist means you ask us to email you about development and launch. It does not create a purchase contract, a pre-order, or a right to a ski. Places are not numbered, transferable, or guaranteed.
You must give a real email address and be able to enter into a contract (in Switzerland, generally 18). Please keep your details accurate. You can leave the list at any time via the unsubscribe link in our emails or by writing to info@peak2002.com.
How we handle that data is explained in the privacy policy.
4. Development status and product information
4.1 Peak2002 is in development. The skis, the replaceable skin, the layup (the order, number and materials of the layers) and the production process shown on the Site are prototypes and design intentions. They are still being tested and may change, or may not be used at all, in a production ski.
4.2 Figures on the Site — including CO₂ savings, vibration damping, weight, lifespan in seasons and recyclability — are targets, early estimates or results from limited prototype tests, unless the page says otherwise. They are not measured results for a production ski and not a promise that a future ski will achieve them. Where we give a figure, we say on the page what it is based on.
4.3 Sustainability statements describe how we design and intend to build. They are not a certified environmental label. Recycling or take-back of the skin depends on routes we are still setting up.
4.4 Specifications, camber profiles, lengths, graphics, renders and 3D views can change before production. Images may show prototypes, renders or test conditions.
4.5 Nothing on the Site is a warranty or a guaranteed property of a product. Any warranty will be set out only in the terms of sale shown before purchase.
4.6 Skiing and ski touring carry inherent risk of injury. Information on the Site is not instruction, a safety assessment or a substitute for professional fitting, bindings mounted and adjusted by a qualified shop, or mountain judgement. Prototypes shown on the Site are not available for public use.
5. Intellectual property
The content and structure of the Site — text, photographs, drawings, 3D models, logos, graphics, and layout — are owned by Peak2002 or used with permission. Peak2002 and the mountain marks on our skis are distinctive signs of the project.
You may view and print pages for your own information. You may not copy, scrape, republish, or commercially reuse the Site (including images and the 3D ski models) without our prior written consent, except where Swiss copyright law already allows a limited use.
6. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the Site: no scraping at a volume that harms the service, no injecting malware, no attempting to access non-public files, and no waitlist sign-ups with fake identities or automated tools. We may block access if we reasonably believe these terms are being broken.
7. Links
The Site may link to third-party pages (for example social profiles or suppliers). We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability, or privacy practices. Following a link is at your own risk.
8. Availability
We aim to keep the Site available but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free access. Maintenance, hosting faults, or events outside our control can take it down. We are not liable for temporary unavailability.
9. Liability
We take care with what we publish, but we do not warrant that every specification, date, or image is complete or current. You use the information on the Site at your own risk.
We are not liable for decisions you make based on development information, targets or test results published on the Site, to the extent permitted by law.
To the extent permitted by Swiss law, Peak2002 is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the Site (including loss of data, time, or expected savings). This does not exclude liability for unlawful intent or gross negligence, or any liability that Swiss law does not allow us to limit — in particular for death or personal injury caused by us.
Email is not a guaranteed delivery channel. Do not send confidential payment data by email.
10. When we start selling
If Peak2002 later offers pre-order or sale, separate terms of sale (price, delivery, returns, warranty) will apply to those contracts. Those terms will be shown before you order. Until then, nothing on the Site is a consumer sales contract.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top is the version in force. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the new version for that use. For the waitlist, we will flag a material change by email where we can.
12. Governing law
These terms and the use of the Site are governed by Swiss law, excluding conflict-of-law rules and the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).
The ordinary courts of Switzerland have jurisdiction. Mandatory consumer-protection venues that Swiss or European law grants you remain available.
If a clause is invalid, the rest stays in force.
